Call for Participation
The 9th International Workshop on Cryptography, Robustness, and Provably Secure Schemes for Female Young Researchers (CrossFyre) will take place next May 17-18, in Darmstadt, Germany.
The CrossFyre Workshop brings together young researchers in the field of Cryptography and Information Security to help them to promote their research. An additional aim is to raise awareness among participants on gender-equality, to present the outcome of relevant social studies on the topic, and to discuss possible measures for improving the current situation.
- Elette Boyle, IDC Herzliya, Israel
- Bianca Prietl, TU Darmstadt
- Oded Goldreich, Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel
The workshop will be co-located with Eurocrypt 2019.
Note that the workshop starts one day earlier than other affiliated events at EC, namely already on Friday 17th.
Female participants are kindly invited to give a 20-minute presentation on their current or past work, but this is not a requirement for participation. Applications for a talk have to be sent to crossfyre@tu-… before March 18 in the form of a 1-page abstract outlining the content of the presentation. The organizers will review all submissions and notify the selected speakers by March 25.
We encourage all researchers to join the event regardless of their gender. We also welcome undergraduate students to this workshop, and strongly encourage supervisors to support their students’ active or passive participation. There is a number of travel grants available for participants who will otherwise have trouble to attend. If you are in need of funding, do not hesitate to contact the CrossFyre organizers. To increase your chances of receiving a travel grant please contact us as early as possible.
