Abstract

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Professor Ross Anderson, a distinguished scholar from the University of Cambridge, whose contributions to computer security and cryptography have left an indelible mark on the academic and technological world.

Professor Anderson’s career was characterized by groundbreaking research and innovations. His work on security engineering, cryptography, and the economics of information security has been instrumental in shaping modern security practices. As a pioneering thinker, his insights advanced academic understanding and had profound practical implications, influencing policies and systems worldwide.

In honour of the late Professor Anderson, a number of friends and companions come together on September 24th in Darmstadt to remember and celebrate his life and work.
