Looking back at TPMPC 2024

More than 150 researchers came together in Darmstadt for the 10. Theory and Practice of Multi-Party Computation Workshop (TPMPC 2024) from Monday, June 3rd to Thursday, June 6th, 2024. The event brought together leading experts, researchers, and industry professionals in cryptography and secure computation and featured an inspiring lineup of sessions, presentations, and collaborative discussions.

The TPMPC 2024 workshop was organised by CROSSING-PI Professor Thomas Schneider and his research group . It showcased cutting-edge research and emphasised the collaborative spirit that drives the field of multi-party computation. With 161 participants from 23 countries and 81 organisations worldwide, the event reinforced the importance of cross-disciplinary dialogue and innovation in addressing the complexities of the field. After the opening remarks by Prof. Schneider, the workshop commenced with insightful talks covering various aspects of multi-party computation. In total, the program consisted of 12 invited talks and 25 contributed talks, an industry event, as well as a diversity panel organized and moderated by CROSSING member Nora Khayata. The Rump Session on Wednesday evening was a unique opportunity for participants to present short, informal talks on emerging ideas and projects in a fun and casual setting.
