Female Student Travel Award 2022

CROSSING prizes to Barbara Jiabao Benedikt and Nora Khayata

On Thursday, 14 July 2022, the collaborative research centers CROSSING and MAKI, the LOEWE Center emergenCITY, and the Research Training Group Privacy & Trust presented the 2022 Female Student Travel Award to seven students during an online ceremony.

The award winners are:

  • CROSSING: Barbara Jiabao Benedikt and Nora Khayata
  • MAKI: Swantje Lange and Sofie Hofmann
  • emergenCITY: Syrine Ben Abid and Nathalie Woortman
  • RTG Privacy & Trust: Maria Helena Koch

The seven winners were awarded a stipend of 500 euros and are encourage to use the money to attend a conference focused on connecting female researchers. The 2022 Female Student Travel Awards were presented after the Ruzena Bajcsy Lecture on Communications and Resilience with guest lecturer Professor Cecilia Mascolo from the University of Cambridge.

Female Student Travel Awards

The Female Student Travel Award (FSTA) is awarded annually since 2014. Currently, four research projects coordinated at TU Darmstadt participate in granting the awards.
