Female Student Travel Award 2025

With the Female Student Travel Award, the collaborative research center CROSSING, the LOEWE center emergenCITY, the cluster project The Third Wave of AI (3AI), and the Zuse School ELIZA recognize exceptionally well performances of female students of all subjects connected to the topics of the awarding projects. The award winners can attend one of the following conferences, which are focused on connecting female computer science and engineering researchers, to take advantage of the excellent networking opportunities during these events.

Each winner can freely choose from one of the following conferences:

Who Can Apply and How?

We invite female students with excellent academic performance from any field of study touching on the topics covered by the participating research centres and schools to apply. Please send us…

  • a letter of motivation
  • your curriculum vitae (CV)
  • your study performance summary (Leistungsspiegel)
  • a description of your connection to and/or interest in the field of research of 3AI, CROSSING, emergenCITY, or the Zuse School ELIZA
  • Optionally, you can indicate which conference you would like to attend in your application. You are entirely free to choose from the listed conferences. The choice does not influence the selection of the winners.

For the two stipends offered by CROSSING, bachelor and master students of all our CROSSING research partner universities can apply, i.e., female students of TU Darmstadt, University of Duisburg-Essen, University of Paderborn, and University of Regensburg are eligible.
