2023, we celebrate 10 years of supporting female students with our travel stipend


With the Female Student Travel Award, the collaborative research centers CROSSING and MAKI, the research training group Privacy & Trust, and the LOEWE center emergenCITY recognize exceptionally well performances of female students in computer science, electrical engineering, and information technology. The eight winners can attend one of the listed conferences, which are focused on connecting female researchers in computer science and engineering, to take advantage of the excellent networking opportunities during these events.

Please apply with a letter of motivation, your CV, your personal performance summary (TUCaN-Leistungsspiegel), and a description of your connection or interest to the field of research of MAKI, CROSSING, the RTG Privacy & Trust or emergenCITY. Optionally you can include which conference you attended or plan to attend.

For the two stipends offered by CROSSING, students of all our CROSSING research partner universities can apply, i.e. female students of TU Darmstadt, University of Duisburg-Essen, University of Paderborn, and University of Regensburg are eligible.

Notifications will be sent out by mid of June and the awards will be presented to the winners during the “Ruzena Bajcsy Lecture” on 23 June 2023 from 1 to 3 pm. The speaker at this event will be Prof. Dr. Eleni Chatzi from ETH Zurich. Please block this date.
