Delocalized single photons provide a simple source of heralded entanglement. After discussing how to detect this entanglement with the use of local weak displacement operations, I will describe two recent experiments for witnessing entanglement and steering quantum states in the form of delocalized excitations of the quantum field.

Short Bio

I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After a PhD at the University of Geneva, under the supervision of Nicolas Gisin, and a brief post-doc in the same group, I'm at leave for the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), to start a new experimental group in quantum information and metrology.
