Successful all-digital Retreat

CROSSING scienctists met online to discuss collaborations

2020/10/27

This year's retreat from October 19 to 21, 2020 started with a plenary session on the performance and status of CROSSING, and also gave a brief overview for the timeline of the CROSSING III proposal phase. All projects presented their results since the last retreat, and gave an update of their latest research.

From the second day on, all projects engaged in collaboration meetings and also discussed about CogniCrypt integrations. The CROSSING PIs held a strategy meeting to further prepare the CROSSING III proposal, and other projects in 2021. On the evening of the second retreat day there even was a social event, an online pub quiz.

The retreat ended with the award ceremony for the CROSSING Collaboration Award 2020 , that was given to Nabil Alkeilani Alkadri (P1), Poulami Das (S7), Andreas Erwig (S7), Siavash Riahi (S7) and Patrick Struck (P1) for their joint publication “Deterministic Wallets in a Quantum World” together with CROSSING-PIs Prof. Sebastian Faust (S7) and Dr. Juliane Krämer (P1). Congratulations!
